What licence options are available?
Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 offers the most flexible licensing model yet. With the emphasis on flexibility and choice, you can buy your licences to suit your user needs.
Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 is licensed on a per user or per device basis. This means for businesses where multiple users access a single machine e.g. within a call centre, one device licence is required per machine.

How many licences will you need?
As described above, Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 is licensed on a per user or device basis, and the application runs from your server or servers, depending on your infrastructure architecture. Your server, or servers, will need to be licensed as well as a licence for each person or device using the system.
If you have users who require read-only access to you CRM solution, they will use a limited access user licence. If you subsequently decide your read-only users need full read/write access, you can upgrade their limited access licences using an additive user licence.
If you want to share your Microsoft Dynamics CRM solution with a wider audience, e.g. your customers, you may require a Connector to provide you with a portal solution.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 licences are available for you to purchase via a Microsoft Partner, such as Gap Consulting. Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 is a Business Solution, so cannot be bought ‘off the shelf’ like some other Microsoft products. Knowledge and experience are required to install and deploy the solution, hence it’s availability through Partner businesses.
