Microsoft announced it would be using Dundas Charting Technology as the engine to render charts with the release of SQL Server 2008. Dundas charting technology has been around for a number of years and is respected for its ability to help end users make decisions based on reviewing easy to use charts rather than raw data.
Microsoft CRM users will benefit from this announcement as Microsoft CRM reports are delivered using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services technology, therefore all reports developed using Reporting Server 2008 will have access to the Dundas Charting Technology.
See the following link for more information about the acquisition.
