Upgrades and Support

We upgrade approximately 80% of our customers within 12 months of a Microsoft Dynamics CRM major release.  We have some customers who like to be at the leading edge, benefiting from new features quickly and using the most current Microsoft technologies.  However, we also have customers who want to upgrade when their organisation is absolutely ready, and we work flexibly to cater for these varying needs.

Upgrading Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 customers with Microsoft Software Assurance that was valid in April 2011 are entitled to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 software.  You will require a Partner such as Gap Consulting to carry out the upgrade, and this can be done in as little as 4 days, allowing time to test run your upgrade a number of times in a test environment.

How do I know if our Microsoft Software Assurance is valid?

When you buy Microsoft Dynamics CRM you will usually have 2 or 3 years Software Assurance, depending on the licensing program you have purchased from.  Software Assurance has many benefits including elearning, access to CustomerSource, Microsoft's home use program and software upgrades.  As the term of your Software Assurance ends, your Microsoft Partner will contact you to renew this optional cover for a further term, thus protecting your IT investment and allowing you to keep it current.

Your Microsoft Partner will be able to tell you if your Software Assurance is still valid, but if you are not able to contact them, please contact Gap Consulting and we will check for you.

What is available in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011?

Whilst the solution itself is greatly enhanced, we can also now offer customers the choice of an on premise solution, or Microsoft's new 'CRM Online' hosted service.  This is an exciting development in the CRM industry and will make Microsoft Dynamics CRM even more available to any size of enterprise.


Support

Gap Consulting has a dedicated Support team based at our Head Office.  Whilst we always offer a comprehensive Support Contract to customers* who have used our Consultancy Services, we also come across businesses who want to consider moving their support arrangements from an existing Partner.  Gap Consulting Support covers the following:

  • Technical Incident Support
  • Functional Support
  • Change Advisory Support
